A Christmas Poem

A star shines tonight, at the hour of our meeting
As friends we do gather, in warm seasons greeting

With cheer we make toast, a wish of good health

Glass raised on high we rejoice in the wealth

To each heart be lightened, for this be the night
When sugar plums dance, and faeries take flight
The fondest of wishes, are wished on this eve
Good will to all men, no matter their creed

May peace be your gift, that rarest of gems
In love be you showered, a surplus of friends
And so merry Christmas, a wondrous day
I wish to you all, with love from Ray.
