BTW, just to silence the few "naysayers" who feel the need to defame anyone who has the courage to step up to the plate and take a few swings, here is a little mental floss for you:
DNA Press & it's affiliate Nartea Publishing (publishers of "Ard Righ: The Sword on the Stone") were a full-blown, traditional publishing house... they are not nor were they a "vanity" publisher.
With regard to the self-publishing of eBooks, anyone who puts forth this colossal effort is in good company:
J. K. Rowling will be selling the Harry Potter series as eBooks directly from her own website (making the eBooks self-published). The estates of Ian Fleming, Barbara Cartland, & Catherine Cookson are also publishing their own works as eBooks and selling them directly to public (making the eBooks self-published).
I hate to waste precious minutes of life answering such ignorant criticism, as ultimately, all of the facts in the world will not explain to an ignorant person anything they do not want to have explained to them.
Intentional ignorance is like being contented to sit in your own stink when there's a shower available... the only thing that can be taken from that is that you actually like to stink.
Ok, so stink away.
